We’re delighted that two of our authors will be taking part in this year’s Wigtown Book Festival which runs from the 21st to the 30th September 2018. This year is particularly exciting as it’s the 20th birthday of the Wigtown becoming the Scotland’s National Book Town and the Book Festival.
Susi Briggs will be bringing her very popular Toon Trail featuring Nip Nebs himself, to Wigtown. From 5.30pm on Monday 24th September she’ll be leading readers on an interactive story trail through the town . Search for pixies and strinkle icy draps on speeder webs with this ancient sprite, also know as Jack Frost.
On the final Sunday of the festival storyteller Sandy McKnight will be presenting the long awaited ‘Wheedleneeps’ (now available in our online shop to pre-order). Sandy will be telling the story of the wicked brownie who causes problems for the local woodland animals because of his greed for turnips. This is an event with something for all the family and you can find Sandy at 11.30am on Sunday 30th September at Wigtown Primary. His reading is part of the Free Sunday with a full programme of events absolutely free from 10am to 5pm.
