We’ve had a really wonderful time at this year’s Wigtown Book Festival with our authors and illustrators appearing across the ten days of the main programme and, in particular, the children’s Big Wig section.
Shalla Gray was invited to read our Beltie titles and Charlotte’s Woolly Yarn (one as a translation event), Susi Briggs led a storytelling workshop and Ruthie Redden taught a group of people how to create beautiful handmade notebooks as well as taking part in the Big Draw Off!
Alasdair Hutton and William Gorman delighted their audience with a reading of their book Mustard & Pepper and a lesson in how to draw a Dandie Dinmont terrier.
And, of course, storyteller Renita Boyle launched her latest book Strange Visitor with amazing illustrations by Mike Abel. Families were able to hear this retelling of a traditional Scots story and join in with drawings of their own monsters.
