Mini Festival Tour

So we’ve finished our mini library tour just in time for our mini festival tour! We’ve been invited to three festivals over the next few weeks so we have a busy time ahead. First of all you’ll find Jayne and Shalla doing separate events at the #Wigtown Book Festival. Jayne will be appearing with storyteller Rolf Buwert and new writer Julie Bowmaker on Saturday 26th in the new children’s venue at 5.30pm. There will be readings from Maxwell’s Mega Mission, story telling, and fun activities as well as refreshments!

On Wednesday September 30th Shalla will be appearing at Wigtown Library along with popular storyteller and Dumfries and Galloway’s Reader in Residence Renita Boyle. Shalla will be reading The Galloway Chilli and she’s created some fabulous finger puppets to help her tell the story. The fun starts at 10am.

Together, Shalla and Jayne will be travelling to #Dunoon on Saturday October 3rd to take part in the Argyll town’s book festival. They’ll be reading from all of their books at the Burgh Hall at 2pm.

Then on the 10th of October the Curly Tale team will be journeying to #Ilkley (ba’ t’at) to appear in the official literature festival fringe. They’ll be calling on local children to ‘Meet the Belties’ at All Saints School in Ilkley from 1.30pm. This is a free event.

And then, they’re going to come back to Galloway to put the final touches to Alan Grant’s new book Sammy the Rainbow Snail – due to be launched at the beginning of December.
